The AANES announced the creation of a 3rd university in NES.

Al-Sharq U in Raqqa will open for the Fall 2021 semester and will include Arts, Educational Sciences, and Math, Chemistry & Physics Faculties, as well as Administrative & Financial, Computer and Languages Institutes.

The cases of COVID continue to rise dramatically in NES, health officials report.

Over the course of March, the number of cases increased almost 700%.

As we enter April the number of new cases has surpassed any point seen in the pandemic last year.
